PERFORMANCE AND
RECORDING OPPORTUNITY
The
ACF Philadelphia Chapter is pleased to announce
New Voices, a
performance and recording opportunity for local composers. Selected
applicants will be given the opportunity to have their original
choral compositions rehearsed, performed and recorded in concert
by
The
Choral Arts Society
of Philadelphia -
Matthew
Glandorf, Artistic Director.
Eligibility:
•
The applicant must reside in one of the following six counties:
Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, Philadelphia, and
Camden.
• In order to receive the opportunity, selected applicants must
members of the ACF Philadelphia Chapter, or must join upon being
selected.
• The chosen composers must be able to attend the concert: 15
February 2008.
Criteria:
•
Composers should submit works for SATB choir (with optional piano
or organ accompaniment).
• The total duration of the work must not exceed 10
minutes.
Application
(must include):
•
Contact details including name, address, telephone, and email
address.
• Short statement (300 words max.) describing why this opportunity
interests you.
• Composition(s) you would like to be considered
(no
more than two per
applicant)
• Audio Work-Samples: may be a recording of the choral music you
are submitting, another composition for chorus, or any recently
recorded work.
