The
American Composers Forum, Philadelphia Chapter
is
pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity for local
composers! In accord with our mission to help Philadelphia area
composers present their music, we are offering a performance
opportunity to be held in
Commonwealth Plaza at
the
Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
Composers will have a chance to take part in the musical events at
the
Free in the Plaza series
in 2008.
To be considered for this opportunity, please submit an application
to the Philadelphia Chapter by
December 8th
2007 (postmark
deadline).
To apply:
composers must be current members of the ACF Philadelphia
Chapter
Eligible
composers should send us a letter of introduction that outlines the
following:
•
Applicant’s full name, telephone, and email
• Composition Title
• Instrumentation (including the number of performers
required)
• Cost of hiring your chosen performers
• Length of the work
• Genre of the work
• Score and Recording of the proposed music (for unperformed works,
include a midi rendering*)
*If a recording or midi rendering is not possible, please include
the score plus a recording of another composition that is
representative of your work.

is necessary for the return of application
materials.
